Upstairs bathroom damage downstairs living area
A toilet supply-line leak in an upstairs bathroom caused this overhead water damage to a Monett, Missouri kitchen. The water damaged the bathroom floor and the water eventually found its way through the levels of the home and appeared on the kitchen ceiling.
Mitigation began by turning off the leaky supply line and extracting any standing water in the bathroom. Equipment was set in the bathroom to begin the drying process.
To address the wet ceiling and other materials between the two levels SERVPRO of Carthage-Joplin technicians cut small access holes in the wet materials. With access we were able to pipe in heat and air movement which dried the top side of the sheet-rock and any other materials above the ceiling.
