Basements are a common place to find mold. This example in Carthage, MO was a result of moisture issues near a sump pump. 

Affected materials needed to be removed. To reduce the risk of cross contamination of other unaffected areas of the home containment was set. Affected items must be handled with care in an effort to not disturb as many mold spores as possible during removal. Affected materials were properly bagged and sealed before be removing from the containment area.

Once the affected materials were removed the entire area inside the containment area was vacuumed with HEPA filtration. An anti-microbial was applied before a final vacuuming to make sure all spores were removed.
