Outside Water Faucets Cause Water Damage Inside Home in Webb City, MO
A customer had both outside water lines freeze and bust, which in turn caused water damage inside the home. Luckily, the water was not contaminated and the carpet was able to be dried in place. The crew went in and extracted the water, set equipment to aid in the drying process. The water had started to affect the wall, so the guys removed baseboards and drilled holes in order to make sure the air was getting in to the wet drywall and drying it down like it should be to avoid the possibility of any mold growth later on. By drilling the holes at the bottom, the air was able to get to the wet drywall and help to dry it out nicely and the drywall did not need to come out.
