Water Damage Due to Toilet Overflow in Pittsburg, KS

Due to a continual overflow from an upstairs toilet, this home had an extensive amount of water damage. It affected the bathroom, of course, and multiple other rooms- the living room, hallway, dining room and powder rooms had carpet and pad while both bathrooms, an entryway and the kitchen had vinyl flooring. Not only did it cause damage to the floor, it also affected the drywall in each of these rooms. Water had also been held in some of the duct work which led that to fall in the basement. Also in the basement, the bottom side of the upstairs sub-floor was affected; which was particle board and will more than likely have to be replaced as well to avoid any issues in the future.  Once the crew made contact with the adjuster, they decided to go ahead and remove the carpet and vinyl flooring due to the age of the water loss and the category it fit in. We were able to get the floors dried out and removed all that needed to be removed. We then brought rugs back for the customer to make sure they were cleaned and will be delivering them this week.
