Multi-Story Office Building Flood

This downtown Joplin, Missouri office building suffered water damage to three floors after a contracted plumber's mistake caused a leak on the fourth floor. 

Commercial buildings can sometimes present a challenge as there are many hidden chases used for mechanical and electrical access that water can find its way down between the different levels of the building. This is where a thermo-imaging camera is a life savor. Thermo-imaging cannot detect water but can detect even the most subtle temperature differences in a material. Those cooler areas can be investigated with moisture meters and can aid in mapping how far the water has migrated.
