Flood Waters Reach Newton County, MO Home

Ten to twelve inches of rain fell in Newton County Missouri in late April of 2017. Many homeowners took precautions as shown in this example image. This homeowner, who had never had flood water in his home before still took precautions by placing sandbags near vulnerable spots in his home. 

The sandbags helped but could not hold back the flood waters from this walkout portion of their basement. SERVPRO of Carthage-Joplin was called in to mitigate damage and dry the structure.
